Aylmore & Associates Crowned Perth’s Premier Corporate Netball Team

Aylmore Attackers have defended their 2017 title as Perth’s premier corporate netball team, securing the 2018 Corporate Netball Challenge at the State Netball Centre this afternoon.

A record 16 teams from across Perth’s business and media communities competed in the event, which has now cemented itself as one of Perth’s best corporate networking events.

The competition was exciting from start to finish, with Aylmore Attackers and Daly and Shaw facing off in a grand final rematch, however it was the Attackers that proved too strong, running out victors.

Principal of Aylmore & Associates David Aylmore said he was delighted to claim a second championship, but was pleased his whole team had a chance to hit the court.

“It brings all the other corporations together on the day, it’s fun, staff morale is great, everyone gets involved, it doesn’t matter if you don’t know how to play netball or not we all just come together on the day and have fun,” he said.

The back to back champion said the Attackers will return to defend their title and encouraged other businesses to get involved for the next tournament.

“It’s not just about netball it’s about everyone having fun.”

“It’s great fun it’s a great day and it’s great for team morale, everyone can run on the court and everyone can play, it’s just a fun day.”

West Coast Fever athletes and coaches guided the teams across the day, with a number of competitions and prizes awarded.

Netball WA CEO Simon Taylor said the action-packed day was also a fantastic chance to network with the corporate community.

“The Corporate Netball Day is definitely one of the events we look forward to hosting and it’s exciting to see this event continue grow each year,” Taylor said.

“It’s great to see the competitive juices flow between each of the teams, but at the same time our game is a unique way to connect with the corporate community.”

“Netball has long enjoyed the support of the West Australian corporate community and I strongly encourage anyone interested in supporting our game either at the grassroots or the elite level to contact us.”

The State’s biggest female participation sport continues to see strong support from the corporate community, with those interested in learning more about corporate partnership opportunities encouraged to contact Lacie Riseborough on 9380 3700.
