Fever athletes to guide future stars

Budding netballers from Esperance and Southern Districts will have the opportunity to learn from their West Coast Fever idols, with the Club set to take clinics to both Associations in the coming months.

The clinics follow the highly successful programs held in the recent school holidays, which saw 350 young netballers put through their paces at Joondalup, Success and the State Netball Centre.

Shannon Eagland and Verity Charles will travel to Esperance for the clinic on August 25, before joining their team mates at Southern Districts Netball Association on September 26.

Charles, who was named Vice Captain for the inaugural season of Suncorp Super Netball, said she was excited for the clinics.

“To be able to give back to the West Australian netball community is something I am incredibly passionate about,” Charles said.

“We are very proud to be able to visit our regional areas and pass on our netball knowledge, and I’m certainly looking forward to seeing some of the State’s brightest young netball talent on display.”

“I’m confident the Club will be embraced warmly by both the Esperance and Southern Districts communities at both of these clinics.”

Both clinics have limited numbers, with places expected to fill quickly.
