West Coast Fever will ramp up their preparations for the third season of Suncorp Super Netball, when they travel to Bendigo for pre season matches against Magpies Netball and Queensland Firebirds on 30-31 March.
The matches will follow the inaugural Suncorp #TeamGirls Cup in Brisbane from 8-10 March, which will see Fever face off against the Magpies, Swifts and Giants.
Head Coach Stacey Marinkovich said it would be another chance to test her combinations ahead of the season proper.
“Pre season games are an important component of the preparation for Suncorp Super Netball, so we’re looking forward to getting out on court once again,” Marinkovich said.
“We have a focus to ensure we get quality match play into our bodies ahead of Round 1 against the Thunderbirds, and we’re confident that these games will hold us in good stead for the 2019 season.”
“Despite it being pre-season, I know the games will be played at a high intensity, and that’s something we’re looking forward to.”
The games won’t be broadcast, however the Club will provide updates via social media across the games.
Fever will return to Bendigo in Round 5 to face the Magpies on Saturday, May 25.
An announcement will be made in the coming weeks about pre season games to be held in Western Australia, giving Members and fans the opportunity to see the team in action ahead of the 2019 Suncorp Super Netball season.
Fever’s Membership numbers continue to break new ground, with more than 3,200 people joining the Fever Family. To secure your seat at all seven Fever home games in 2019, and experience the best entertainment in Suncorp Super Netball, click here.
