West Coast Fever’s legion of young fans received a special school holiday treat in the past fortnight, with 350 of Western Australia’s budding young netballers put through their paces by their idols.
Fever athletes travelled to Joondalup, Success, Bunbury and their training home at the State Netball Centre to deliver a series of clinics across the school holidays.
Executive Officer Tamara Sheppard said it was fantastic to see so many young players passionate about both the game and the Club.
“Our players always enjoy the opportunity to engage with our fans and it’s particularly pleasing to see the younger generation so excited about netball,” Sheppard said.
“Experiencing the joy these young fans take from such an experience also serves as an invaluable reminder to our athletes about exactly why they play the game.”
“We pride ourselves on being a fan orientated Club so we welcome any chance to continue to build the strong relationship we enjoy with our Fever family.”
